NZART Branch 18 is Lower Hutt's Amateur Radio Club
We are Branch 18 of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters (NZART) and our call-sign is ZL2HV.
Amateur Radio (ham radio) is a popular hobby and service that brings people, electronics and communication together. People use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the Internet or cell phones. It's fun, social, educational, and can be a lifeline during times of need.
Find out more on how to become licensed on the NZART website.
The branch net is held on the 700 repeater each Wednesday at 1930, come along and join us.
Jock White Memorial Field Day will be held on the weekend of 27 & 28 February 2021.
The Club will run a single band, 80m, Field Day station at the Top Paddock at Brookfield,
